They need to be 3-5 minutes in length.

So get thinking about them. We'll be starting them in Week 3 in class.
Purposes
· To
foster speaking skills in each school
· To
provide opportunities for students to hear and compete against students from
other schools
· To
develop greater cluster school contact
Age Group:
Year 5 / 6
(only). Two finalists from each
school (– either Y5 or 6)
Names
of finalists to Stoke School by 5th September for inclusion in
Finals Competition programme brochure. Please also provide a brief biography
for each finalist.

Speech Assessment
- This will be shared with students when writing the speeches.
- Speeches
are intended for an audience of children.
- Children are welcome to use props or visual aids
but remember these will not have a significant bearing on marks awarded by
the judges.
- The Nayland College cup for Public Speaking will
be awarded to the winning student.
